How does such a small car have such shit ty visibility??? I can touch the rear headrest from the driver’s seat yet it’s got worse blind spots than every SUV or minivan I’ve driven. I’m more comfortable backing up a box truck than this thing.

I would start by removing those rear headrests if nobody sits back there.

What is this bullshit?

It's literally just a blank plastic panel on the door. Probably so they could spend less money on glass.

Isn’t the rear door handle back there?

It is, but it doesn't take THAT much space.

First off, those headrests need to be the kind that stay lowered and “nest” over the rear seats (or otherwise flip down). That’s a design fail, IMO. The C/D-pillar might have other reasons for being so large, but I doubt it. That’s probably just an aesthetic decision.
Poor visibility is a dealbreaker for me in an everyday car.

D o the headrests go down like 6 inches? My roommate has a 500 and they move really far up/down.

The rear h eadrests aren’t even the real issue. The rear window is a gunslit and the design of the front headrest makes it so you can't twist your head far enough in either direction to see what's on the driver's rear of the car.

Adjust the mirrors. You shouldn’t need that back window to back up.

Fold down the rear seats and open the trunk, but the car is too big to reach the trunk release from the drivers seat. ;-(

Did you mean these things that are the size of my palm?

Yes, those are the ones. Adjust those till you can see behind you.

Same as the 2015 Yaris I drove for work. Massive headrests that I removed immediately, tiny useless rear window, huge C pillars that create huge blind spots, and tiny useless side mirrors.

GTI is that way too. Massive C-pillars for rollover I guess. Can’t see a thing out the back.
